The leaves are falling from the trees, the days are getting shorter and the scarves and hats are coming out (did they ever really go away?). That can only mean one thing…it’s Autumn. However, if you’re from America, thoughts of Thanksgiving and delicious turkey won’t be far off either. Although this is a purely American holiday, it only seems right that the Carrickfergus Knights American Football team along with the support of the Belfast Trojans are holding a Thanksgiving extravaganza to celebrate.

Held at the Clarion Hotel in Carrickfergus on Thursday 27th November, with doors opening at 5pm, this is perfect for American Football fans, or just fans of good food and a good time. The Bears v Lions game is being shown at 5.30pm, with a full 4 course traditional American Thanksgiving dinner being served at 7pm, complete with pumpkin pie! What more is there to be thankful for?

Aside from the food and football there will also be competitions and fun for the whole family throughout the evening with prizes and a march stand run by UK American Sports Store. This will all be followed by the Eagles v Cowboys game being shown at 9.30pm on a 10ft screen.

Tickets cost £15 for an adult or £10 for under 16s and can be bought here.
