Streaming Pick of the Week

Amazon – 10,000 BC

Mammoth hunter D’Leh (Steven Strait) has long been in love with a beautiful, blue-eyed tribeswoman named Evolet (Camilla Belle). After horseback-riding raiders kidnap most of his D’Leh’s fellow tribesmen as well as Evolet, he sets out on a dangerous trek to rescue her from her captors.

Amazon 6: Netflix 5

Directed by Roland Emmerich, this big flashy epic is high on special effects, Woolly Mammoths, Sabertooth Tigers and Pyramids, low of plot and character arcs. It’s worth a go though and tops out this weeks pick of the week. Not the strongest of wins for Amazon but it gets the prestigious honor of being August’s All Time Champ.
