The space formerly known as Restaurant Victoria, Bourbon and The Malt Room has been vacant for about two months now. The prime city centre spot seems to have a habit of housing restaurants for a little while, only to be passed on to the next buyer.

Well this time, the next buyer is none other than Galgorm Resort and Spa brothers, Paul and Nicholas Hill, and their company Tullymore House Ltd who are opening a new Italian restaurant called Fratelli with a £500,000 investment which will create a much needed 35 new jobs in Belfast.

Despite the past failure of restaurants in the Great Victoria Street spot, Fratelli itself is not a shot in the dark for these experienced brothers as there is already an operating Fratelli restaurant in Galgorm itself.

Project manager Colin Johnston, said:

“Fratelli Belfast will offer a part of the Galgorm experience in the heart of the city and we are very much looking forward to welcoming new guests, colleagues and familiar faces.”
