I’m not sure if this is a case of unlucky Friday the 13th but industrial action this friday means there’s no trains or buses in operation. A full statement from Translink was issued today:

Translink is advising all its customers that due to strike action by the Unite and GMB trade unions it will not be possible to operate any scheduled bus or train services on Friday 13th March 2015.

Ciaran Rogan of Translink said, “I would like to apologise to all our passengers who will be inconvenienced by this strike action which is unfortunately beyond our control. I think it is important to give people as much notice as possible in order that they may make alternative arrangements for travel on that day.

Services will return to normal on Saturday 14 March 2015.

In relation to schools’ transport, Mr Rogan added “we are in touch with the Education and Library Boards to find out if schools are open on Friday and to discuss options for transport.”

More info on refunds etc. can be found here.
