Northern Ireland is a fairly beautiful place if you stop and look around, from the lush green we’re surrounded by, to the interesting urban sprawl of the city centres. With that in mind I thought it would be good to feature an interesting photo from around the country every week. While I’m not much of a photographer I know a man who is… so for the next 4 weeks local photographer Neil Carey will be show casing some of his work from all sorts of places on this fair isle. First up is the very hub of the North, Belfast city centre.

This image of Belfast’s Royal avenue combines a modern long exposure with an old sepia black and white image taken back when trams still travelled the Belfast streets.

The people from the past appear briefly once again to roam Royal Avenue, they would still be quite familiar with the place as some of the buildings are still standing.
