We’re finally at Saturday’s big event, the Yelp Belfast One Day Wing Fest, So it’s it finally time for the big one – The Hudson Bar. They have a reputation as the best wings in town, and they even have their own wing house out the back now.  I’ve had these wings a few dozen times so I drew on my wealth of experience to bring you this wee run-down. Click the links for our previous efforts Vandal, BubbacueBuskers, The Swift and The Hotplate Noshery.

Summary: Very orange in colour, these wings have a real bite to them. They are very flavoursome with a classic buffalo taste – Vinegary, Sweet, Hot and Tangy.  The flavour hangs around afterwards and so does the heat, giving a final kick before fading away.  The sauce is thin, but clings onto the wings and really transfers into the meat giving the succulent wings a flavour right the way through from exterior to bone.

Flavour notes:  Vinegary, Sweet, Hot, Tangy, Lingering

Drink accompaniment: Hudson Craft Beer

Portion size: 10-15

Price: £5.50

Wing Type: 1 piece

Uniqueness: Buffalo a go-go – The sauce is legendary and rightly so!
