The 25th Belfast Pride Festival has begun and this week will see all sorts of fun activities and events, culminating on Saturday 1st August with Pride Day and the famous Pride Parade!

It’s the 25th anniversary of Belfast Pride – 100 people marched in the first Belfast Pride in 1991, these brave pioneers paved the way for the 50,000 who marched in 2013 and inspire us to continue to work for a future without discrimination where everyone has equal rights. Belfast Pride is now a ten day festival that lights up the city with over 80 events that showcase the creativity, arts, history, culture, opinions and everyday lives of the LGBT community in Belfast. The theme for Belfast Pride 2015 is: “25 Years Building Equality. It’s Time”.

There’s loads going on this year from Trudy’s Drag Race, Sexual Health Testing and Pride Comedy to a Drag Race style Kiki, Silent Disco and the Official Pride After Party. For the full schedule of events have a look here and you can see a few more events below.
