Five days to create an entire play from scratch? Easy-peasy, right?

With their newest production Ignition, the newly appointed Artistic Director of Northern Ireland’s premier theatre company Tinderbox Theatre Company Patrick J O’Reilly definitely has his work cut out for him.

IGNITION

Aiming to create dynamic and ambitious new work by fusing new writing, devising techniques and theatrical innovation that will entertain, provoke and inspire audiences in Northern Ireland and internationally, Ignition is O’Reilly’s first production in his new role.

IGNITION is a fast paced ambitious theatre making project, not for the faint hearted. Tinderbox has invited 4 performers to collaborate, innovate and create and a new play in five days. The ignition process will explore new ways of working and the discovery of new ideas that could be possibly developed for future productions. Ignition also aims to energise and inspire the arts sector by allowing writers, performers and theatre-makers the opportunity to play with their own ideas and fuel their own and the audience’s imagination.

This ground-breaking and innovative new show will be taking place at Belfast’s The MAC theatre from 17th – 18th June 2016 at 8pm, tickets are £8 and can be booked online here or by ringing the Box Office at 028 9023 5053.
