#artisanNI is an independent, publicly owned, crowd-sourced movement that strives to showcase the artisan producers of Northern Ireland – of which there are many!

#artisanNI is defined as:

“Someone who both lives and produces in N.Ireland using hand, traditional or non-mass produced techniques to craft a distinctly high-quality product; a product developed and brought to market with passion, determination and pride; with an ambition to create something unique and desirable that helps to define our space on the world map”

Inspired by the NI Year of Food & Drink 2016, #artisanNI have taken the opportunity to show the world just how thriving the artisan food and drink scene is here in NI. If you love the stuff that we produce, then shout about it, and consumers are encouraged to use the #artisanNI hashtag, sharing photos and thoughts on our local produce. This produce is identified easily by the #artisanNI logo which can be seen and downloaded here, so if you’re an artisan product producer then stick it on your products and help to spread the word.

I have an undying love for Belfast and all that it has to offer, an undying love for sleeping, Tegan and Sara, trashy tv shows, foreign snack-foods and being irresponsible with money. I also quite like origami, reading, jazz, hip-hop, dubstep, anything acoustic and Food Network TV. I've written for The Big List, Culture NI, Chatterbox and The Echo, as well as writing for BBC Across the Line.
