#NewOnNetflix – Pick of the Week: Jessica Jones

This week’s pick is a Netflix Original. One I’ve been waiting a long time for. Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Jessica-Jones

Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a cheque.

If you’re familiar with Netflix’ Daredevil series then you probably already have an idea of how they handle Marvel’s grittier characters. As usual for Netflix the whole series has been dropped on there for your viewing pleasure.

As a little bonus, 2 other entries this week have caught my eye. The Mike Judge animation classic , Beavis and Butt-head Do America as well as the much maligned Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.  So if Jessica Jones isn’t your thing then maybe one of those is. Mortdecai is on there too but… well…
