What’s in the bag of Netflix new releases this week? You’ll just have to stick around and see won’t you? First up it’s the honorable mention. A new season of an old favorite.

The League – Season 7 – The League’s been around for a while now, 6 seasons. And while it’s about some friends playing fantasy football in some sort of league, that’s just the macguffin. It’s really just an excuse for outlandish and dare I say ‘outragous’ hijinks. It’s worth checking out. This week we get season seven for all those The League vets out there.

An ensemble comedy that follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care deeply about one another… so deeply that they use every opportunity to make each other’s lives miserable.

Pick of the week – Lone Survivor Just to make things clear. I have not seen this film. It’s one of those films that came out a while ago and while it looked like it might be good, I just wasn’t that motivated to go and see it. ‘I’ll maybe catch it on Netflix’. Well now its here on Netflix and I can turn it off if I get bored. As well as Mark Wahlberg, it stars Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster and Eric Bana and has a score of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s not necessarily my favorite genre but apparently this ain’t bad.

Marcus Luttrell and his team set out on a mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shah, in late June 2005. Marcus and his team are left to fight for their lives in one of the most valiant efforts of modern warfare.
