This week we have a good old fashioned ‘bad movie’ classic. we have a Netflix stand up special that’s not from an American comedian, more episodes of one of the BBC’s most compelling dramas and a long awaited second season of a Netflx original series. Lets run through our honorable mentions before we get to the pick of the week shall we? Lets.

Street Fighter – It’s Jean Claude Van Damme and Kylie Minogue in the video game movie to end all video game movies! Seriously I’m pretty sure this one killed the concept of bringing game to life for a few years anyway.

Jimmy Carr: Funny Business – If you like Jimmy’s painted on face and Oscar’s white smile then maybe this Netflix exclusive stand up show is for you. If not, then fair enough.

Peaky Blinders – The second season of the period gangster drama has been added to the fold. Cillian Murphy does a bang up job of playing Birmingham gang leader Thomas Shelby and Sam Neil does a comical but oddly compelling Northern Irish accent as Inspector Campbell. If you haven’t seen any of these I suggest you get right on that. 6 episodes a series so you can binge watch that in a week easy.

Pick of the week – Daredevil Season 2 – It was a no contest. Daredevil season 2 has been hotly anticipated since the first season ended last year. Last year it laid the ground work and gave us The Kingpin. This time fans are getting what they’ve been clamoring for. The introduction of The Punisher and Elektra. There’s 2 trailers below that give a taste of each of the new characters. If you reckon you’re gonna watch it though, i’d say skip the trailers and boot up the ol’ Netflix app now.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
