Avicii brought the 2016 Tennent’s Vital to a spectacular close Friday night at Belfast’s Boucher Road Playing Fields, ending on a high note a truly fantastic weekend when more than 75,000 fans enjoyed world class music across two remarkable, biggest-ever days of the event.

It was a full house as Avicii took to the stage to play his last ever gig on the island of Ireland before he retires from touring. His all-star supporting line-up featured Jess Glynne, Duke Dumont, Galantis, Seeb and Zak Abel, and they delighted the Tennent’s Vital crowd throughout the day and provided stellar support to the Swedish DJ’s headline, high octane set.

Seeb and Zak Abel got the Friday party started as the Tennent’s Vital crowd arrived early to enjoy every minute of the impressive bill on offer at the festival and, as Seeb dropped their smash hit remix I took a pill in Ibiza, the crowd went wild.

Galantis came in with a high tempo energetic set which kept the crowd moving and the atmosphere soaring. Kicking off with Firebird, the hits just kept coming.

Duke Dumont launched into his set with crowd pleasing Need U, I Got U and Ocean Drive and immediately had the crowd at Boucher Road Playing Fields on their feet, hands in the air, belting out the songs along with him!

A mass singalong was inspired by Jess Glynne with hit single Hold my Hand. Clearly blown away by the support from the ever-enthusiastic Tennent’s Vital crowd, the pop princess encouraged the crowd to dance along to her seemingly endless list of chart anthems.

Avicii kicked off his headline set with smash hit Without You and welcomed the Tennent’s Vital crowd with a stunning visual display. The hits continued as I Could be the One, Addicted to You, Seek Bromance also made the set list. As the anthem Wake Me Up began the Belfast crowd erupted in appreciation. From start to finish, the Swedish DJ thrilled fans with an electric set packed with favourites like Hey Brother, and Levels before finishing with on a high with an amazing mash up of a number of tracks. The superstar DJ had the Tennent’s Vital crowd in the palm of his hand from start to finish as he effortlessly mixed classic dance tracks with his own stellar hit collection.
