1. HMV Belfast Instores

Monday 11th, Wednesday 13th, Friday 15th November

Looking for something to do at lunch time during Belfast Music Week? HMV in the Donegall Arcade are hosting a free live in store performance at 1pm every other day. With performances from Go Wolf and The Jepettos, Jason Clarke, More Than Conquerors and Joshua Burnside, why the hell not?

2. NI Music Prize

Tuesday 12th November

This is the inaugural year for NI’s answer to the Mercury Music Prise – The Northern Ireland Music Prize. Hosted at The Mandela Hall, with tickets for just £10 this is being pinned as the centre piece to Belfast Music Week so is sure to be a show stopper. With a selection of the nominated acts such as Anthony Toner, Axis Of, The Bonnevilles, Girls Names and Space Dimension Controller performing on the night.

3. Good Vibrations with Commentary

Tuesday 12th November

Watch Mark Kermode’s film of the year in the Art Deco surroundings of The Strand Cinema, with commentary from Terri Hooley himself, along with the directors, producers and writers. Tickets cost only £5 and the screening starts at 7.30pm.

4. Van Morrison (Freedom of the City Gig)

Friday 15th November

Unfortunately all tickets for this special event have already been allocated, but for those lucky few, this event sees Van the Man being given his Freedom of Belfast at The Waterfront in Belfast, followed by a free concert from the man himself and some special guest artists.

5. Mojo Fury Album Launch

Saturday 16th November

The Mandela Hall is venue to a double album launch extravaganza and will see Mojo Fury release ‘The Difference Between’ and The Rupture Dogs first album ‘Feral’. With support from Gascan Ruckus, The Couth, A Northern Light, Sutch Schultz and a DJ set by BeeMick See this is sure to be one hell of a night. Doors at 6.30pm and entry is £8, tickets are available here.
