You’ve heard their new single ‘A Winter Waltz’, now you can see Belfast based folk group The Dandy Horses play it live at Victoria Square this Friday 19th December from 3 – 5pm. Having already played a gig at The Hudson Bar last Saturday, this is one of a string of charity busking events being held by the band in support of the MS Society.

Following the success of their single launch at The Sunflower Bar last month the band aim to embrace the season of giving and raise both awareness of the condition and money in support of the charity.

The Dandy Horses BuskingAside from playing for the charity’s annual gala ball the band are also offering a portion of their proceeds on their launch night to the charity and will be donating all download sales of their track from iTunes, BandCamp and Amazon until 31st December. What a great way to not only give something at this charitable time of year, but also listen to some great music at the same time.

Vocalist, fiddler, banjo and guitar player for the bad, Noeleen Cosgrove said:

“A number of our friends and family members are impacted by Multiple Sclerosis, so we were drawn to the work that the MS Society does in Northern Ireland. We were eager to spread the Christmas cheer throughout Belfast by organising live, free-of-charge performances where our listeners will feel inspired to dig a bit deeper this Christmas to help the MS Society, a charity that provides support and services to residents affected by the disease.“

Tom Mallon, Fundraising Manager, MS Society added:

“We’re absolutely thrilled that The Dandy Horses are supporting the MS Society. There are more than 4,000 people living with MS in Northern Ireland – one of the highest rates in the world. All the funds raised by The Dandy Horses will be used to provide much needed support for local families as well as funding MS research.”
