There is an absolute boatload of events on for India week in Belfast and good lot of them are free. We’re going to the Cookery class which is unfortunately fully booked now, but if it’s Indian food you’re after then there’s a list of restaurants that are running special deals for your delectation.
It starts off on Saturday in the grounds of the city hall with a FREE Indian Bazaar
” Experience India’s extensive cultural diversity through our free workshops, including Indian flower arranging, dance, food sampling, henna tattoos and massage.
Local, national and international artists will perform on two outdoor stages, culminating in a spectacular finale from Akademi, the UK’s leading South Asian dance company”

On Tuesday 25th on the grounds of the city hall they are having a free showing of Taare Zameen Par (Like Stars on Earth) on the Big Screen with Seating provided. Also there will be food and snack vendors on site so you can make a night of it. There’s literally too much going on for us to go through everything, but do have a look on the website and get down to a few events.
