Down Royal has hosted some of the world’s most legendary jockeys and horses through the years, and the racecourse experienced another great moment this month when North Down’s most famous son, Mike McGoldrick, brought his wild antics to the May Day race meeting.
McGoldrick was spotted meeting fans, flirting with rumoured love interest Pamela Ballantine, sampling the delights of racing hospitality and sticking a few quid on a ‘long shot’ during the big event.
The ex-Ulster star’s outrageous behaviour was caught on camera so the unlucky punters who weren’t there to see him in his bronzed, toned flesh can enjoy the absolute scenes on Down Royal’s Facebook page here.
