This week’s pick is a Netflix original. The Aziz Ansari vehicle ‘Master of None’. Aziz first came to our collective attention (that’s the royal ‘our’ i’m using) in the brilliant ‘Parks and Recreation’ which also brought us Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) and Nick Offerman (Fargo, 21 Jump Street). He then showcased his stand-up talents in a few comedy specials on Netflix. Master of None is one of those new fancy comedy series but as far as a synopsis goes all i can find is

The personal and professional life of Dev, a 30-year-old actor in New York.’

Maybe this trailer will give you more of a taste.

It looks like it might be some fun and it appears to be directed by Gore Verbinski. You know him, right? He did all those pirates films with Johnny Depp. Maybe there’s some pirates in this too. That would liven things up a bit for a ’30-year-old actor in New York’. That seems to be it this week for Netflix. Slim pickings but at least we have a full series of comedy to keep us going through the weekend.
