This weeks top three goings on are super dooper! Brilliant! Excellent! Outstanding! Masterful! First-rate! Full-cream beast! I’ve got a new thesaurus and I couldn’t help breaking out the big guns for this weeks line up. Awesome!

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Larry David is back and this time he’s….. well its the same old stuff really. Grumpy old man, fly on the wall style filming, celebrity guests, much laughs. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

The Disaster Artist

A new trailer for James Franco’s The Disaster Artist. Based on a book by Greg Sestero about the making of a famously bad movie from Tommy Wiseau called ‘The Room’. Franco directs and plays Wiseau himself. like a lot of Franco’s stuff it’s a bit off the wall but it’s been getting some good ‘buzz’ from the bees at film festivals and the like. It’s also getting good ‘buzz’ from the blue bottles and electric toothbrushes too.

The cast includes Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan, Zac Efron, Bryan Cranton, Kristen Bell, Josh Hutcherson, Alison Brie, Judd Apatow, Sharon Stone, Zoey Deutch and Adam Scott. Trailer below.

Downsizing

Matt Damon is primarily know for his role in Team America World Police but every now and again Matt Stone and Trey Parker get his box down from the roof space and let him out to make a movie without their help. This time Matt is starring in a movie about little people and for once it doesn’t star Warwick Davis or Peter Dinklage. It’s nice to see ‘normals’* finally get to play little people. It’s just acting after all and aren’t we all little people anyway? Aren’t we all ‘normals’ for that matter? What’s with these labels? Why do we need them?**

*The views of the Octogeek regarding ‘little people’ and ‘normals’ do not necessarily represent the views of PastieBap.com.

**Despite what the liberal media might have you think. We need labels so that we know when food goes out of date and which size of jeans to buy and then take back because Primark have changed the sizes again. I haven’t gotten fatter they just keep changing the sizes.

Bonus News

This week’s bonus news concerns the hippo like creatures of  Finnish author/artist Tove Jansson. The Moomins are coming back to our screens with some great work from Gutsy Animations. The stills so far look great with the animations being created in a hybrid of 2D and 3D. The cast is pretty great too. Everything’s just great (I’ve lost my thesaurus). Matt Berry playing Moominpapa should be a particular treat. Full cast list  and pics below (Snufkin and Little My to be confirmed).
