This week we have trailers for a heap of stuff. We get our first proper look at the new King Kong movie They have to make a decent one eventually, right? Same rule applies to Godzilla. We have a mad thing with an alien monster truck and Netflix’ new Unfortunate Events trailer.

Kong: Skull Island

John C. Reilly looks to be the absolute saviour of this move. Tom Hiddleston and Sam Jackson are doing their part but the trailer really only pics up when we see that beard.

Silence

Its Oscar season and Scorsese is looking to do it again with this story of Christian in Japan played by Spider-Man and Kylo Ren. The story goes that they are looking for Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jin to teach them some neat lightsabre tricks.

Martin Scorsese’s SILENCE tells the story of two Christian missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who face the ultimate test of faith when they travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor (Liam Neeson) – at a time when Christianity was outlawed and their presence forbidden. The celebrated director’s 28-year journey to bring Shusaku Endo’s 1966 acclaimed novel to life will be in theaters this Christmas.

Monster Trucks

This one looks bonkers and Paramount have already written it off as a failure, projecting a loss of $115 million. Apparently they have to have meetings with investors every quarter to talk about what to expect profits wise and this one isn’t high on their list for success. It does look like it might be a fun little movie tho. I hope it shows those corporate big wigs what it can really do. That would sicken them wouldn’t it? If it did really well and made them lots of money! Take that, fat cats!

Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend.

Rogue One

The TV spots just keep on coming for this, to the point where I’ve stopped watching them lest they ruin my dinner i.e. the film. I haven’t watched this spot either so apologies if you get Rick rolled.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Finally we have the official trailer for ASoUE. It looks pretty funny and Neil Patrick Harris looks good as Count Olaf. Great job guys, great job.
