An exciting new production by Threes Theatre Company, the ambitious and intriguing Thinking About Thoughts will be making its debut at Lisburn’s Island Arts Centre on August 18th, before moving on to Belfast’s Black Box on 22nd and 23rd August.

Funded by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, this show promises to use multi-channel headphone technology to allow the viewer (listener?) to hear the inner dialogues of three monkey minds looking for some peace and quiet at a retreat. Answering some broad questions such as What does it sound like inside your head? What does it sound like inside someone else’s? and Why is it so loud at this silent retreat? you can even change who you are listening to throughout the show, a bit like a Choose Your Own Adventure Book. As you dictate the journey you take, you also create your own audio experience.

Thinking About Thoughts

Threes Theatre Company is a new local theatre company founded by Anna Leckey, a recent graduate from London South Bank University and a yoga teacher, now living back at home in Drumbeg. Working with people they have met on their journey through life so far this company collaborates to create, striving to produce thought provoking work, always challenging the minds of the audience, giving them new experiences of what it is to ‘go to the theatre’. This production has enlisted the help of local writers, actors, voice artists and creators, as well as several theatre-makers that Anna met during her time at university.
