Wolf Blass Wine

Tasting Notes

A South Australian red, the Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 is dark red (almost purple) in colour and medium bodied with hints of spiciness. With quite a sharp, tangy finish, sweet dark berry flavours such as blackberry and cassis help to balance out the tartness of this wine. As someone who is used to quite a sweet red wine, the Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon is a nice change; it still retains the sweetness that I enjoy in a wine, but with a more earthy acidity which makes it interesting.

Food Matches

Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon is great with Chargrilled Steak with Fat Chips and Garlic Aioli or Beef Stroganoff. We also hear it goes great with bacon and beef steak sandwiches (which look amazingggggggg). Click here for the recipe, which also features Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon as one of the ingredients.
