Local artist, Neil Carey works mainly in the field of photography, photographing the beautiful landscapes of Ireland, but he also creates digital art using fractal software called Mandelbulb3d. The diverse images created in this software are based on fractal mathematics, and recently fractals created in this software have been moving into the mainstream, having appeared in movies such as Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Neil often adds human elements to his images to create surreal landscapes and scenes evoking thoughts of alien worlds and mysterious secret places.
