Okay, so I already know what some of you are thinking: sportswear immediately equals gym; which equals sweat; which equals not very flattering or fashionable dress wear.
When actually, sportswear could be the obvious answer to one of the hardest looks to effortlessly achieve: comfortable fashion (without looking like you’re wearing pyjamas in public).
Now that this season-transitioning-made-simple trend is booming and brands such as Ivy Park, Adidas, Reebok and FILA are selling literally everywhere you turn on the high street, this is the best the time to jump on the bandwagon.
Think about it, whether you’re going back to uni or college, chilling with friends at the weekend, or you know, actually going to the gym – these pieces tick all the boxes, no matter your style.
If you prefer dresses, there are endless choices from boxy t-shirt ones to figure-hugging bodycons. If you’d rather a good ole snuggly sweatshirt, you can count on sportswear to provide the high comfort and quality to match. If you want to wear a crop top, you can style it from your run in the park with leggings to your Saturday night out with a skirt. Also, we have all noticed the ongoing surge in people swapping their crippling high heels for some comfy branded sneaks – the epitome of sensible fashion – now how could anyone argue with that?
