2016 is looking like a very exciting year for Wolfhound as the company expands, technology develops and business booms. We are ALWAYS on the look out for new talent as we continue our expansion. If you are interested in working with us, please send you details and CV to info@wolfhoundmedia.co.uk.
Based in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, Wolfhound Media produce commercials and advertisements, traditional & aerial photography, animation and sound design as well as having a current film and television development slate. With roughly thirty years combined experience within the industry, Wolfhound Media match stunning visuals with strong and engaging stories whether the project is intended for the web, television or the cinema.
When we saw Wolfhound Media’s stunning series of Game of Thrones inspired aerial photography, we knew we just had to share them with you, but first a little background:
Wolfhound Media have been issued a Permission For Aerial Work (PFAW) by the Civil Aviation Authority. This is a legal requirement for any Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operator who engages in commercial activity. The care and attention to all aspects of safety are quite intense during the training stage, but very much worth it when you consider the damage that can be caused by irresponsible aerial drone activity. Once a few basic pre-flight conditions are met, the rest of the job is a real pleasure. Every time the drone takes to the sky you are greeted with a very different perspective on the world, hence the desire to capture the Game of Thrones locations from the air.
We spoke to Alasdair McBroom from the company, who told us a little more about the project:
HBO’s Game of Thrones is the biggest television series of all time and Northern Ireland is rightly proud of its involvement in what is a global sensation. We at Wolfhound wanted to highlight all the local beauty behind the CGI and shocking deaths, and so started off by capturing locations in and around the Causeway Coast. Moving forward, the plan is to showcase locations in South Down such as Narrow Water Castle, Inch Abbey and Tullymore Forest at the foot of the Mourne Mountains.
