4.Ballymastocker Strand – Ballymastocker Strand is considered to be one of the finest golden strands in Ireland, perhaps even in the world. Indeed, the Observer magazine voted it the 2nd most beautiful beach in the world. It can be found on the eastern short of Lough Swilly, just south of Portsalon.  Using a ten stop filter allows for a long exposure during daylight which captures the movement of the waves and sky creating an ethereal image.

5.Glenevin Waterfall – The walk up Glenevin Valley to the Glenevin Waterfall in Clonmany, County Donegal, takes the rambler on a safe, well sign -posted route. Newly installed picnic areas blend easily into the natural landscape. Footbridges are dotted along the track as visitors criss cross the stream using the stepping stones.
The basin at the foot of the waterfall is called Pohl-an-eas – this comes from the foam which lies on the surface of the pool. Pohl – an – eas translates as the ‘ ferment pool ‘.

66.Fannad Lighthouse – This is one of my favourite locations to shoot photographs. This image was taken around 11pm in the evening and it was still quite bright, the sheer power of the sea coming in towards the gully below the lighthouse is an impressive sight.

7.Burt Castle – Driving snow tried to stop me from reaching the castle on this bitter morning but it was worth it to capture the storm swirling round the remains of the once important castle. Burt castle dominates the landscape, if you are travelling from Derry to Letterkenny you cant miss it.
