An incredibly entertaining match is had between Phil ‘The Thrill’ Boyd and young Nero. Phil has a great back and forth banter with the crowd and whilst technically a Heel (bad guy) I think after getting the win he was leaving with a few more fans.
6-Man tag action is always fast, fun and furious and this encounter, between Tron with Systematic Destruction and Karl McKaigue with The Wild Stallions, did not disappoint. At one point Tron had both Rocky and Dude goozled and Karl performed a suicide dive to the outside to stop the inevitable double body slam, Luther Valentine came casually walking along with a beer and poured it in the downed giants face. I would say that a Tron/ Luther storm is well and truly brewing as Tron chases Luther to the back and deserts his team.
These 2 need to meet in the next round of the Platinum Tourney, as an epic battle awaits! Karl McKaigue is on fire right now and the crowd lap it up every time, coupled with the ever friendly but ready to fight Wild Stallions and they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. Especially when after picking up the win they presented Karl with a wing and bandana so they could all play air guitar together in celebration.
Katey Harvey saw off the obnoxious Barbie wannabe Siren in a great women’s match, that had time to run and a fluid and well executed back and forth exchange. Siren wound the crowd up and Katey won them over. A gory bomb later and Katey picked up the 1-2-3.
