2015 Belfast Photo Festival

The biennial festival has an ambitious programme of inspirational events and exhibitions across Belfast city centre. Don’t miss the full scale Back To The Future DeLorean replica time-machine. Combining sculpture and photography, the car is completely made of photographs on aluminium and is on display at Belfast City Hall until 23 June!
One Night in Istanbul

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of “that night” in Istanbul, Alterean Media is bringing Nicky Allt’s stage show to The Grand Opera House in Belfast for one special week in June 2015.
Belfast Book Festival

Based at the Crescent Arts Centre, the week-long festival also offers events across the city in a variety of venues. Don’t miss the Family Fun Day at Crescent Park on Saturday 13 June, with children’s writers, storytelling, food and drink and loads of books, workshops and more. Belfast author Glenn Patterson will be reading from 8.30pm at the Crescent Arts Centre followed by the Belfast Book Festival Poetry Slam.

UK Pipe Band Championship

Stormont Estate
This June the UK Pipe Band Championships comes back to Belfast. Organised in partnership with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, the event at Stormont Estate will see pipers, drummers, drum majors and highland dancers compete throughout the day to be crowned UK Champions. The event runs 10am-6.30pm and will have cash only food and drink facilities.
Flash Harry – The Music of Queen

David Hull Promotions presents Flash Harry – The Music of Queen at Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast. Flash Harry have been celebrating the music of Queen all over Ireland and the UK for more than 20 years and still fans come to pay homage to the greatest rock band of them all.

The Age NI Photography Exhibition in the Ulster Hall presents photographic projects made in collaboration between local artists and local community groups, and is open 10am-5pm daily. Don’t miss The Gown at Sixty in the John Hewitt, with photos from the Queen’s University student newspaper.

Belvoir Players Academy of children aged between 5 – 12 are delighted to bring you Disney’s My Son Pinocchio Jr., the classic tale of toymaker Geppetto’s little wooden puppet is given new life. This new musical features the beloved classic songs “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings,” alongside a host of new songs.
