Well Netflix has a bumper crop this week. There’s so many I can barely choose. This week we have Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson,  Daniel Radcliffe, offensive comedy, annoyingly catchy Disney songs and more. read on for our pick of the week.

As usual we have our honorable mentions and it’s difficult this week as there are so many. So it’s easiest if I just run through them.

Die Hard – The film that started it all. Creating 2 sequels and 2 train wrecks in it’s wake. Starring Bruce Willis and the late great Alan Rickman.
Frankie Boyle : Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved – A one hour special for those not easily offended by the Scottish accent.
Starsky and Hutch – Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson star in this addaptation of the classic TV show. It’s not bad either.
Looper – More Bruce Willis but this time no sequels. Looper’s a great wee time travel movie and even features Joseph-Gordon Levitt to boot.
Predator – It’s Arnie. He’s in the Jungle. He has ALL of the Guns. There’s an alien. It has dreads. It can see heat. It has has a face like a smashed kebab. Nuff’ said.
Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle – Oddball comedy from Stewart Lee. Half stand up half something else. It’s not your regular comedy vehicle. It’s Stuart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.
Twilight (1-4) – Netflix has the first 4 of these up if you’re into Kirsten (Kristen? I’d look it up but it’s not worth it) Stewart looking confused as to whether she likes vampires or werewolves.
The Woman In Black – Harry Potter in the remake of the Hammer classic. Worth a watch actually. It’s spooky stuff.

Silver Medal – Sex Drive – This gets the runner up prize as it’s one of my favorite teen comedies. It’s probably passed you by as there are countless films like this that barely even try. After American Pie and Road Trip every one had a go and 95% were garbage. This one’s different though. It’s a solid comedy and even has the main character dressed in a Mexican donut costume as well as that kid from Hot Tub Time Machine.

Pick of the week – Frozen – I couldn’t really not put Frozen here could I? Unlike Game of Thrones, Winter isn’t coming. It’s here. It also brought with it a song that will lay eggs in your brain. These eggs will hatch and will burrow deep into your neo-cortex or hippo-campus or whatever is in charge of remembering catchy songs. I should have researched this but I have that song in my head. Frozen is a phenomenon and is here to stay.
