This week’s New On Netflix pick of the week is BAFTA nominee Kajaki: The True Story (also sometimes known as KILO TWO BRAVO), which is a true story and modern war film about soldiers who are tasked with neutralising a Taliban roadblock. From director Paul Katis, this has been hailed by some guy on IMDB as the greatest British war film ever made. So you know it’s good.
KILO TWO BRAVO relives the true story of a platoon tasked with neutralizing a Taliban roadblock in the Kajaki region of Afghanistan. As they close in on the insurgents, the unit find themselves marooned in the middle of an active minefield, setting in motion a desperate air rescue mission that risks detonating the entire explosive terrain. This excruciatingly tense thriller depicts the heroism, courage, and survival of the brothers of Kilo Two Bravo company and tells the story of one of the most valiant rescue efforts of modern warfare.
With an audience score of 85% and a critics score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, if you like serious action and adventure, then you definitely can’t go wrong. Plus it’s a true story, so it gets points for giving you all the feels.

Pickings are slim this week you guys, so your bonus content is 2013 suspense mystery Closed Circuit. Starring both Eric Bana and Julia Stiles this tells the story of a high-profile terrorism case which unexpectedly binds together two ex-lovers on the defence team – testing the limits of their loyalties and places their lives in jeopardy. It’s not the best film you’ll ever see, nor is it the worst ; plus it saves you hours of trawling through Netflix to try and pick a film.
