Check out this week’s pick of the week as well as an honorable mention in this weeks #NewOnNetflix . Without further ado lets get to the good stuff, starting with our runner up.
Babylon – Babylon is like a shot in the arm for police dramas. it’s like a modern day The Bill only it’s you know ,good. It feels very current and at times is wickedly funny. It cant quite decide whether its drama or comedy so its opted for both which works in it’s favor. There’s a second season that’s just finished on channel 4 so there’s more to come.
Babylon is a British drama television series co-created by Danny Boyle, Robert Jones, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain for Channel 4. The series is set in London, and follows various characters working for the Metropolitan Police Service, police officers on the streets, who are responding to incidents, as well as the top management and PR department at New Scotland Yard, who tries to counter any backlash from such incidents.
Pick of the week – Kill Bill Vol 2 – If you saw the first one then I guess you’ll want to see the second. Lucky for you it’s just as good, just as stylish and just as bloody. It even has a long bearded kung-fu master in it, teaching our hero the ways of combat. As usual (Hateful Eight aside) Tarantino delivers something unique and highly entertaining. So if you’re stuck for something to do this weekend. Stick Kill Bill Vol 2 on.
The Bride wakens from a four-year coma. The child she carried in her womb is gone. Now she must wreak vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her – a team she was once part of.
