Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
First up we have a synopsis for GOTGV.2 The team have finished shooting and are now passing the torch to those Spider-Man guys.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
And here’s that Facebook post James Gunn put up
Many blessings today to the star of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tom Holland, and the film’s director, Jon Watts (standing in here for Jon is some dude that was passing by), as they begin their shoot in Atlanta just as we are ending ours. I don’t think we could pass the Marvel baton to two nicer, better guys who care more about what they’re doing. Kill it!
Jason Bourne
Heeeeeee’s back and he’s real angry! Blam! Blam! Pow! Pow! Here’s the new trailer for Jason Bourne. I’m not sure if that’s what the movie is called or if it’s just a trailer for the fictional character that you can hire for parties. Blam! Blam!
Moana
Disney’s latest Animation that is likely to make ALL the money when it hits cinemas. It’s got The Rock in it as well as being directed by the guys who made Aladdin. Here’s a teaser and a synopsis.
Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one today knows why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”).
Power Rangers
New casting news from the Power Rangers movie. Walter White himself has been cast as Zoron. So look forward to seeing Bryan Cranston as that big floaty head thing.
The Young Pope
Here’s a synopsis and trailer for a mini series what Sky and HBO and Canal ‘Ploose’ gone and done. I’m a sucker for these kind of vatican type things and also Jude Law is in it. I’m there.
From Paolo Sorrentino, director of the Academy Award®-winning ‘The Great Beauty,’ ‘The Young Pope’ tells the controversial story of the beginning of Pius XIII’s pontificate. The eight-episode series stars Jude Law as the complex and conflicted Pius XIII, the first American pope. The cast includes Diane Keaton as Sister Mary, an American nun living in Vatican City, as well as Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
E3 has brought us a nice little trailer for Studio Ghibli’s latest video game. Wait? What? Oh ok. This is actually a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can chop down trees and set stuff on fire. Nice work guys.
Alien: Covenant
Good news everybody! Not the kind of good news that Professor Farnsworth delivers, actual good news. Noomi Rapace who was reported to not be involved in Ridley Scott’s new Alien film is now not not involved. We have no idea how big her role is but suffice to say she’s in it along with fellow Prometheus star Micheal Fassbender. We also have this picture of Ridley Scott with Danny McBride on the set. Look at his little space suit and all those shiny buttons he gets to push. You finally made it Danny. You finally made it
Pete’s Dragon
Pete has a Dragon. In the trailer you get to see the Dragon. The Dragon belongs to Pete. That is why he is called Pete’s Dragon. The Dragon is also called Elliot but he is still Pete’s.
