Movie News
In other movie news Mad Max: Fury Road is getting some good reviews, Terminator: Genisys has some character posters, Avengers 2 is still making money but not as much as last time, Hawkeye is still useless, Black Widow’s lips are still pouty and Hulk is still angry. The Rock has also signed up for something called The Rock Presents the Dwayne Johnson Production of ‘Alpha Squad Seven’ in association with the people’s elbow, eyebrow and The Rock’s bottom. So we’ll be seeing more of him – apparently it’s a sci-fi comedy.
I’ve had a look at Netflix for you to see what’s new and as it turns out, not a lot. There’s some episodes of Spartacus which is often spoken highly of and a film called ‘Russell Madness’ about a wrestling dog and his monkey trainer, which I suggest you check out if you have a spare 90 minutes (I guess Vince McMahon wouldn’t let them use ‘Russell Mania’). I haven’t watched Russell Madness but I did watch this trailer and had a look at the DVD cover. There’s a dog who wrestles and his trainer is a monkey. I’m most definitely kinda thinking about possibly watching it maybe some afternoon, in the background, while I do something else.
Games
In the world of games, Lego have leaked some pictures of their latest sets for the new Lego Dimensions game. Dimensions is a Lego game that combines a whole bunch of their properties in one game: Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Doctor Who and now Portal 2 and Jurassic Park. It’s like Skylanders or Disney Infinity so you’ll need to buy the toys as well as the game to make it all work. If you have kids or a love of Lego say goodbye to all your money. Luckily for me I have no money. Paul 1 Lego 0.
The new Star Wars: Battlefront game looks like it’s going to be something special. Den of Geek has the latest details here. If you like Star Wars in any way then this trailer should get you excited.
Microsoft and Sony have some more free games this month to all those patrons of Xbox Gold and PS Plus. Xbox One – Castle Storm and Pool Nation FX. Xbox 360 – Mafia 2 and F1 2013. PS4/PS3 – The Unfinished Swan, Race The Sun and Hohokum. PS4 also has Guacamelee and Ether One.
That’s about it for this week. I’ll try and be more concise next time. Until next week. Enjoy your week, Geeks.
