Volume Control at the Oh Yeah Centre Belfast is an important program to help get young people involved in event and gig planning, and the music industry in general.  So they are asking for a little help to get some funding.

Volume Control is one of our most rewarding projects – a mentoring scheme for teenagers, who put on gigs for other teenagers. They learn about the industry, they select great music, they promote and they create excitement. Importantly, in the past five years, many of the VC graduates have found work and higher education prospects in the entertainment business.

We are asking you to vote for Volume Control, and to guarantee that this great work continues to blossom.

If successful, this will provide support for a ‘Youth In Industry’ event, four community events, and the production of an EP that will showcase six of the best emerging young acts that have performed at Volume Control gigs. Working alongside some of our key partners and youth organisations, the ‘Youth In Industry’ event will engage with 200 young people not in education or training.

They are asking you to vote for them in the medium grant section of the  Inspiring Youth Enterprise Awards. Click here, scroll down and vote.
