Today’s pick of the week looks like a lot of fun, something for the Indiana Jones fans out there. We also have a few honorable mentions this week that are pretty decent. Also we have Adam Sandler’s next shot at a Netflix ‘classic.
The Do-Over – Lets get this out of the way first shall we? This is the new Netflix Original film by Adam Sandler. To be fair, from the trailer it looks better than his first one.
The life of a bank manager is turned upside down when a friend from his past manipulates him into faking his own death and taking off on an adventure.
Red Dawn – This one is a Swayze classic. The commies are coming and only the teenagers are left to stop them. Led of course by Swayze himself. It’s a real good show.
A group of teenagers witnesses Soviet and Cuban paratroopers descending on their small Colorado town and systematically setting off World War III.
Titanic – The biggest of big blockbusters. Leo and Kate do battle with the ocean and the 1900’s class system in this tale of love and tragedy. The’re love was unsinkable but the ship was not. Also Kate Winslet gets her jebs out. Just sayin’.
James Cameron’s “Titanic” is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic; the pride and joy of the White Star Line and, at the time, the largest moving object ever built.
Pick of the week – Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made
This little documentary looks a treat. We all wanted to be Indy and for the most part these kids did it. I’d a lot of fun when I was a kid making wee movies and this just reminds me of that. Except we never made anything on this scale. Check out the trailer.
Three childhood friends attempt to finish the pet project they’ve worked on for over 30 years: re-creating “Raiders of the Lost Ark” shot for shot.
