Better late than never! Octogeek is back off his holidays and has all that good stuff you’re looking for. Guardians of the Galaxy, Logan, Wonder Woman, Assassin’s Creed, Nintendo Switch and Red Dead Redemption. Get stuck in!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
We’ve finally got a glimpse of the sequel and although we don’t actually see much it’s apparent that we’re in for a treat. Bautista knows how to deliver a deadpan punchline too, god bless him.

Logan
We’ve finally got a trailer for this too. The last outing for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The trailer is a bit incoherent but hopefully it’s because they are holding stuff back. Johnny Cash’s Hurt has been a bit overplayed but overall this looks like it might be a pretty good last ride for The Wolverine.
Wonder Woman
More Wonder Womany than the last trailer here’s another Wonder Woman trailer. They really should make a movie about how wonderful she is.

Assassin’s Creed
This one is shaping up rightly. I still haven’t grasped how he can time travel or if he can change the past or whatever but all that jumping off stuff and knife fights in hoodies is pretty beast.
Arrival
I’m not that fussed on this one. Looks like a snorefest. Prove me wrong Amy Adams, prove me wrong.
A Cure For Wellness
On the other hand, this one looks interesting. Here’s the synopsis and the trailer.
An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure. From Gore Verbinski, the visionary director of THE RING, comes the new psychological thriller, A CURE FOR WELLNESS.
The Ivory Game
Netflix has a new documentary that’s got something to do with Leo Di Cap and the ivory trade. Count me in.
Red Dead Redemption 2
This one has been a long time coming. If you like GTA but think that there aren’t enough horses in it then you’ve probably been waiting for this one.
Nintendo Switch
Remember the Nintendo NX? Well that’s not a thing anymore. What is a thing is the Nintendo Switch. It looks like the best thing ever as far as I’m concerned. I’ve missed out on a whole console’s worth of Mario games by not having a clue what the hell the Wii U was. I’m hopeful that this one can live up to expectations.

Deadpool 2
Sad news here, Deadpool’s director Tim Miller has left Deadpool 2. Seems Tim and Ryan Reynolds have had differences over casting choices and Tim has left the project. Sad pandas all round. As a side note though, on my holiday last week I discovered via an airport book shop, that Deadpool is known as Massacre in Spain. Nice.
