Introducing Belfast’s first ever Chicken Wing Festival organised by Yelp, hosted by Vandal and supported by Jack Daniel’s. This will be the hottest and most exciting food festival Belfast has ever seen with all day entertainment, competitive eating contests and Chicken Wings from some of Belfast’s most loved eateries! The best part is, it’s completely FREE – all you have to do is sign up on Yelp!
Wing exhibitors include The Hotplate Noshery, Bubbacue, Buskers, Vandal and more. There will be hot wings, BBQ Wings, Buffalo Wings and event Asian Wings – we’ll have Wings for all tastes and we’ll make sure you have a clucking good time!
Yelp are looking for 40 competitive eaters from Belfast who think they have what it takes to be crowned the ‘Northern Ireland’s King King or Queen’.
The One Day Wing Fest will take place at White’s Tavern Courtyard and upstairs in Vandal on Saturday 10th September and will run from 12:30pm – 8pm.
Stevie McIntyre from Yelp says the App has a strong tradition of involvement with the Belfast restaurant sector having hosted the country’s first Wing-off last May.
“Having recently organised the successful Yelp Mouthing Off Series in Belfast a festival showcasing some of Belfast’s most loved eateries seemed to be the next logical step. We want to expose what Belfast and beyond has to offer in terms of Chicken Wings and we want to have some fun along the way! Expect Wings, Tunes and Freebies with all the best elements of a festival all rolled into one day!’
