Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon

Monday 4 May, 9am

Throughout Belfast

Over 17,500 runners will line the streets of the north, south, east and west of the city to participate in either the Marathon Run, Wheelchair Race, 8 Mile Walk, Team Relay or Fun Run. The event starts at Belfast City Hall and finishes at Ormeau Park.

This powerful drama is partly based on the World War 2 diaries of Ray Davey (1915 – 2008). Ray was a prisoner of war in Saxony Germany and witnessed the immediate aftermath of the bombing of Dresden.

RoboThespian is a life-sized, humanoid, interactive exhibition robot who can move, speak, educate, interact and entertain. RoboThespian is primarily a robot actor and performer. He is fully interactive, user friendly and capable of communicating and entertaining in a way that few people will have experienced before.

The Shadow of a Gunman

The first of Sean O’Casey’s Dublin plays, The Shadow of a Gunman is set during Ireland’s War of Independence. Ordinary civilians have been dragged into a vicious guerrilla war of ambushes, raids and reprisals.
