This week we have news on Iron Fist, Captain America Civil War, It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, a BFG trailer as well as a Preacher trailer and some Doc Strange pics. Lets get to it.

Iron Fist

Netflix Marvel adaptations have been on a roll lately. Daredevil season 1 and 2 along with Jessica Jones have proved to be compelling TV. Luke Cage is getting his own show and after that is Iron Fist. Eventually the 4 of them will team up for The Defenders.  Iron Fist is the alter ego of Danny Rand and it was reported a while ago that Ser Loras Tyrell himself (Finn Jones) will be donning the mask.

“Danny Rand is a very complicated character. He’s a billionaire New York Buddhist monk martial arts superhero who’s still trying to figure out what exactly that all means. Finn is able to play all these levels in such an honest, revelatory way that as soon as I saw him I knew he was our Danny”. – Showrunner Scott Buck

Fellow Game of Thrones star Jessica Henwick  who played Nymeria, one of the bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell (known as the sand snakes) has been added to the cast. Jessica, who also played X-Wing pilot Jessika Pava in The Force Awakes, will be assuming the role of martial arts expert Colleen Wing.

It’s always Sunny in Philidelphia

IASIP as I like to call it has been renewed for seasons 13 and 14. All praise the Dayman!

Preacher

The Seth Rogan, Sam Catlin and Evan Goldberg produced comic adaptation finally has a teaser. It features Dominic Cooper, blood and a guy with a butt-hole for a face. If that doesn’t get you interested I don’t know what will.

Captain America Civil War

With TV spots comes new footage and this one shows us a bit more of The Black Panther in action. Click below for 30 seconds of Civil War.

As well as this new TV spot, Marvel have announced that Alfre Woodward has been added to the cast. This is intriguing because she’s already been cast by Netflix to play Mariah Dillard in their Luke Cage series. Crossover ahoy! A small one but it still reminds us that these worlds are connected. Dillard is a Harlem politician in the comics that’s not exactly one of Cage’s friends.

The BFG

New trailer for the BFG. Thank god for CGI eh? This actually looks pretty good though and I’m not sure how you’d do it without the computer wizardry. Film some actual giants I suppose. Good job all round lads. And lasses.

Doctor Strange

Doc Strange has finished shooting principle photography and they did it on the streets of NYC. As you’d expect we’ve got a couple of new images out if it. Most of them are a bit samey but here’s a couple of shots of Strange (Benedict Cumberbatchand) and Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) going out for a jog and Mads Mikkelsen, playing an unnamed villain, trying to buy some eye drops and moisturiser.
