The Martian
A lot of folks were down on Prometheus. I kinda liked it, although it was more visually stunning than actually stunning. Ridley Scott has another space movie for you and this time there’s no aliens in it.  It was based on the book by Andy Weir and features Matt Damon (Maaaaaatt….Daaayymonn!) stuck on mars. I wasn’t sure about this one until I saw the trailer and Matt Damon uttered the words:

“I’m going to science the shit out of this.”

That should be on the poster. I reckon this is another case of giving too much away in the trailer but I haven’t seen it yet so what do I know? It looks good anyway so check out the trailer already.

GAMES

The big games news this week is the release of the trailer for the highly anticipated Fallout 4 which will be coming to PC and next gen consoles this year. Check out the trailer below.

If that’s a bit hardcore for you here’s the trailer for Lego Jurassic World. Much like the Lego Indiana Jones game, this one spans the 3 original films as well as the new one. That’s 4 adventures, 2 of which feature a Lego Jeff Goldblum!  The trailer’s pretty funny and is worth a watch just for the giggles. The game is due out on pretty much everything this Friday to coincide with the movie.

NETFLIX

And last but not least, Netflix. This week’s pick of the new stuff on Netflix has The Expendables 3 and Sense8. The former because well you know you’re going to end up watching it and if it’s on Netflix then it’s not costing you anything other than your brief time on this Earth. The latter is the new sci-fi series from the Wachowski siblings and that guy who used to write Spider-Man comics. It’s reportedly good stuff. Maybe it’ll be a return to the Wachowski’s good work like The Matrix and V For Vendetta.
