The rumours are true – you can finally ditch all your dark coloured, heavy clothes and anything that remotely resembles a winter wardrobe – as the recent 16-degree weather can only mean one thing: spring is at long last here!
It’s all down to the lighter and brighter colours that first get people excited for spring, and this season’s main combo is certainly worth the hype as it comes with a new spin. Think daring yet joyful, unexpected yet uplifting – green and pink is here to be embraced at its fullest.
It’s quite a bold and unlikely pairing – but it’s one that I can easily accustom to. Whether its jade or khaki green, bubble-gum or baby pink – there’s something about this colour combo that just harmonises so wonderfully together.
It’s also been doing the rounds across the blogosphere: Mancunian style blogger Megan Ellaby, who launched her own clothing line named ‘Saturday by Megan Ellaby’ in AW18, recently released her first jumper of 2019 called: ‘The Ultimate Saturday Knit’, which boasts a beautiful mauvy green and pink colourway (pictured below). Megan’s high-status credentials prove that she is a fashion goddess who’s worth listening to, and the colour choice is just too irresistible to ignore. Megan also styles it up in multiple ways on her Instagram and YouTube, and is worth a follow for further inspiration of how to master this combo (@meganellaby).
Sophia Basse (@sophiabasse), a personal stylist at River Island Style Studio in London, posted an inspiring video of her demonstrating three creative ways to wear green and pink. If you’re intrigued but have no idea where to start with these colours – I thoroughly recommend giving Sophia’s video a watch below!
