The awesome guys at the tourist board know there are stacks of fun things to do across NI, from family days out to gigs and cultural events every week. So here are their top 10 exciting things taking place this week (23rd – 29th March 2020)

 

  1. CultureLab CultureLab Belfast, 21 February – 30 November. CultureLab is a place to take a good, hard look at the cultural stereotypes that we all know surround us in Northern Ireland. This new exhibition poses questions about culture and offers a glimpse into how identities have been, and continue to be, shaped. The exhibition includes the famous ‘Differences’ blackboard from the hit TV series Derry Girls, which is on public display for the very first time
  2. Broighter-Gold-Farm-Tours Broighter Gold Farm Tours Limavady 2 March – 31 December. This farm tour includes a visit to the main farmyard where you can see the rapeseed after it has been harvested and shown how the seed. You can view the machinery that the farm uses to carry out many farm tasks throughout the year and get an insight into the work involved in the running of a modern farm. Visitors will be able to visit the processing area of the farm and learn how Broighter Gold Rapeseed Oil is made.
  3. Coast-and-Country Coast and Country Coleraine, 8 Feb – 12 December 2020. On this 6 hour tour by private bus sit back, relax and savour the flavours that make this area so unique. Get ready for a truly unique, memorable and heartfelt experience where you will have the chance to sample local food and drinks. Enjoy this time together to eat, discover and take home an authentic taste of our beautiful place.  
  4. Bushmills-Irish-Whiskey-Master-Class Bushmills Irish Whiskey Masterclass Belfast, 14 March – 4 April. In this masterclass, led by Bushmills Brand Ambassador Lauren McMullan, you will take on the role of Master Blender replicating the Bushmills 16yr Old Single Malt. You will do this by blind tasting 3 Bushmills Single Malt Whiskeys. Once you have completed the blending you can take home your own unique miniature bottle of Bushmills.
  5. omagh-sperrins-walking-weekend-2020/ Omagh & Sperrins Walking Weekend 2020 Omagh, 28 – 29 March. Enjoy Walking Trails of Binevenagh Mountain, an area of outstanding natural beauty. With our experienced and fully qualified Mountain Leaders and Guides, Carrowmena Walking Trails will take participants on an adventure to explore and experience the infamous Binevenagh Mountain.
  6. Derrie-Danders-Walking-Tours-and-Day-Trips Derrie Dander Walking Tours and Day Trips Derry~Londonderry, 28 March. Come and experience one of our special Ulster Scots Themed Historical Walking Tour of the City. They aim to deliver you with an informative and entertaining experience. Please take time to “Linger longer in Londonderry” and enjoy a “Dander around Derry”.
  7. spring-tasting-dinner Spring tasting dinner Derry~Londonderry, 27 March. For an evening out with a difference, come along to our fabulous Spring Tasting Dinner. Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and a six course tasting menu with optional paired wines; a wonderful dining experience and a delight for foodies and wine lovers.
  8. Northern-Ireland-War-Memorial-Saturday-Opening Northern Ireland War Memorial Saturday Opening Belfast, 7 March – 5 December. Want to learn about the Second World War in Northern Ireland? Visit the Northern Ireland War Memorial to learn about Air Raid Precautions, Rationing, the Belfast Blitz and the build-up of US Forces in Northern Ireland. Listen to 1940’s music and play with wartime games and toys. Dress up in real wartime uniforms and helmets and take part in craft activities suitable for all ages.
  9. On-the-Footsteps-of-Martel-Adventure-Caving-Legnabrocky On the Footsteps of Martel: Adventure Caving Enniskillen, 28 March. Delve off the beaten track with experienced and qualified Cave Leader to explore “adventure” caving in the depths of the Marble Arch Caves system. Your group of eight will explore cave passages, negotiate boulder chambers and clamber through the well-known flyover to emerge into the public tour of the show cave before navigating your way out, muddy and ecstatic.
  10. beyond-the-barricades Beyond the Barricades Derry~Londonderry, 26 – 28 March.  The world is in turmoil. Machus and Cal thought they were embarking on a youthful odyssey of self- discovery in Derry. With student riots in Paris, the Black Civil Rights Movement in the USA, the Womens Liberation movement kicking off and Queers revolting in New York, how will this impact on them? As they try to make sense of the surreal world of The Battle of The Bogside, 1969, will they partake or will fate intervene and change everything forever?
