Every so often we get invited to try things or go somewhere and we’re not really doing a review of the place, more highlighting what it has to offer, should you want to visit.  Going to Odyssey Cinemas recently was one such trip so I thought I’d bring the run-down on the Odyssey Cinemas experience.

It has been a while since I’ve been to the cinema without kids so getting the opportunity to check out one of NI’s biggest at Odyssey Cinemas was a real treat. Situated in the Odyssey Complex alongside W5, Odyssey Bowl, W5, Pizzahut, The Streat and even Rockies Bar, it occupies the entire upper floor and you feel the size of it as soon as you come up the escalators.

The snack selection is awesome, with all bases covered from nachos to hot nuts and everything in-between. I had a Hot Dog and an Ice Blast, and the hot dog, in particular, was very reasonably priced at £3.30! If you’re wondering – yes I did mix my Ice blast flavours – red and blue, I’ve no idea which either flavour was but I regret nothing!

The cinema has 12 screens, so expect fights as to what you see if whomever you’re with isn’t on the same page as you! We went to see Happy Death Day 2 U in screen 8.  Their seats are larger than I’m used to at most cinemas so I found very roomy and comfortable. The screen was also very large and that combined with the bombastic sound system made for a great showing.

Odyssey cinemas also have a VIP experience with much larger reclined seats, more intimate theatres and a range of extras that are worth checking out.  They also have some great perks for members of their Xtra club which is super quick to sign up for and get you 10p on every £1 you spend and £3 entry on Mondays and Thursdays!

Check out our instastory below of our night and check out the Odyssey Cinemas account for more cool stuff!

Disclaimer: We got to see the film for free and got an Ice Blast, the Hotdogs however we bought ourselves! All views in this are my own because it was me that thought them before I wrote them and I remember thinking them. Especially the ones about the hotdogs. I really like them dogs guys I gotta tell ya. Please continue.
