The Addams Family has arrived at the Grand Opera House in Belfast, this time in the form of a musical comedy. The show is performed by the award-winning St Agnes’ Choral Society, who are following up their critically acclaimed sell-out production of Shrek The Musical.

The show tells the story of the Addams Family, a kooky and eccentric family who are obsessed with all things macabre. When Wednesday, the ultimate princess of darkness, falls in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family, her parents Gomez and Morticia are horrified. They must find a way to keep their daughter’s secret until the two families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences.

From the first finger-clicking bars of the theme tune, the show is full of catchy songs, hilarious moments, and stunning visuals. The music is a mix of pop, rock, and Broadway, and it’s sure to get you singing along.  The cast is excellent, with all of the actors giving near pitch-perfect performances and they really bring the characters to life. The set design is also impressive, with the Addams’ mansion coming to life on stage.

Overall, the show is funny, heartwarming, and full of energy. If you’re looking for a fun and entertaining show to see, then I highly recommend The Addams Family. It’s a show that the whole family can enjoy.

The show runs from Tuesday, May 2nd to Saturday, May 6th, 2023.
Shows are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30pm, and Saturday at 2:30pm.
Tickets are priced from £35.50 to £22.50.
