Belfast Roller Derby

About Roller Derby

Roller Derby is a fast-paced contact sport played on quad skates. The objective is to score points by passing other skaters while preventing the other team from doing the same. It is an exciting way to get fit and compete in tournaments locally and worldwide.

About Belfast Roller Derby

Belfast Roller Derby was founded in 2010 as the first Roller Derby league in Northern Ireland and consists of two teams: The Belfast Banshees and the Norn Iron Maidens. The Belfast Banshees are currently ranked 10th in the UK and 25th in Europe and have moved up to Tier 2 of the British Roller Derby Championships after placing third in the Tier 3 finals in 2015.
