The Belfast Giants kicked things off this weekend with a couple of pre-season matches against Cardiff Devils. They put 2 past the Devils at the Big O on Saturday whilst the Devils only managed 1. If this was only a pre-season friendly I’m not sure anyone told the players, as you can tell by the amount of rough and tumble that took place on the ice!
On Sunday night the score board was on fire in Cardiff as they played their first away game. The Devils replied to the Giants impressive 5 goals with 7 of their own, ultimately making the weekend one game a piece and setting things up for what will no doubt be a steller season where the Giants look to defend their league title!
