On Netflix this week we’ve got Satan, we’ve got witches and we’ve got political intrigue. Something new, something old and the return of a Netflix Original. What makes the cut this week? You’ll just have to read on!
Hocus Pocus – This one’s a Disney classic and even features a very young Thora Birch (The Hole, American Beauty) as well as young Sarah Jessica Parker (it’s hard to believe she was once good looking). Three witches brought back to life by a virgin lighting a certain black flame candle have to deal with the modern world while trying to suck the life out of all the children in Salem. It’s a little early for Halloween but like I say it’s a classic and even has a talking cat.
House of Cards Season 4 – That’s right, it’s back. It was a contender for Pick of the Week but if you’ve seen the first 3 seasons already then you don’t really need us to tell you to watch the 4th. Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood is back and is dastardly as ever. The whole lot is ready for your House of Cards Binging pleasure. Long live the King!
Pick of the Week -Hell and Back – Last August on Octogeek we mentioned this little stop motion called Hell and Back from some of the guys behind Robot Chicken. Well it’s out now and is even on Netflix for your consideration. It may be stop motion but it’s certainly not for the little ‘uns.
When their buddy (Rob Riggle) breaks a blood oath and lands in hell, two best friends risk everything to save him from demons and the devil (Bob Odenkirk) himself.
