We all know what the Nolan Show is like right? They segue mercilessly from discussions about the Omagh Bombings to X-Factor runner-ups singing their latest single . It’s a bit of running joke for us how random the different segments get, but to an outsider it must seem like madness, heck to most of us it seems like madness.  In a lot of ways it’s actually a great representation of life in NI where we laugh about everything no matter how black it is and draw very thin lines between the mandane and the serious.

So when Phill Jupitus and Jason Manford walked on to do an interview about the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang musical they’re starring in after a heated discussion about the murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay, you can imagine how awkward things became, If not you can catch it above starting about 29 minutes in.  With all this in mind I find it fascinating to see these two guys sit down and dissect the whole thing after the fact from an ‘outsiders’ point of view. I  expected to watch a few minutes of this but ended up watching the whole thing because it’s so good.
