Amanda St John has just released her latest single ‘If I Should Fall’. The Motown inspired pop ballad oozes with soul appeal with just a hint of the blues. A more laid back affair than her previous single, the hugely rousing ‘Big Strong Man’, this definitely ticks the boxes for a great love song. Accompanying Amanda’s extraordinary voice are pianos, guitars, double bass, drums and some backing vocals that would make The Supremes jealous. This all makes for a wonderfully filled out sound that ultimately plays as a backdrop for the main event – Amanda St John’s voice – Pitch perfect and with a warm rich tone that sounds entirely comfortable singing in this husky, slightly deeper range. This shows something different from Ms. St John and again proves she’s a multi-talented performer that we look forward to hearing more.
