Auntie AnniesPeople say to me all the time “Chris, what’s happening to Auntie Annie’s?” Well to those people I say “something, something is happening to Auntie Annies”  That’s not usually enough, so here I will elaborate.

The legal side of things is the Jar Ltd have reached an agreement with fixed charge receivers to manage it with the right to buy, if things go well.  They currently have dabbling’s with 8  bars (that are doing well) around Belfast including Aether & Echo and The Albany, so it seems it’s in good hands.

Word is it could be open as quickly as next week, and if you pass at the minute you’ll see it’s getting a fresh lick of paint. So things are afoot, as they say.  The Facebook page “The Bar With No Name” has popped up and is documenting the goings on, so that’s the place to keep an eye out for updates.

The BelTel site has a some more info if you want to read more.

*UPDATED*

Annies is now open again and @Belfastbarman was kind enough to share his pics of the place on the first night
